Gloria is one of htmelle’s youngest and brightest sustainability activists! Gloria entered our program wanting to innovate and bring more awareness for global climate change. Through the 2019 Pilot Program, Gloria was able to learn more about the reasons why climate change exists and prototype an online game that brought awareness and education about the issue for young kids.

Tanisha started E-missions for Students with the goal to make young adults more aware of the carbon emissions that they are producing by tracking their car-emission usage. They give you the option to offset your emissions in order to balance things out and live a more green-conscious lifestyle.

2019 Summer Pilot Program Alumna
Tara realized that our daily water habits have a huge impact on the world and others. To improve this, she wanted more people to realize that water conservation is extremely important. Tara prototyped a device that tracked the user’s daily water usage in order for them to have more awareness and opportunities to use less water.

Stephany’s empathy really shined during her time at htmelle. She conducted robust research and realized that a majority of the homeless population fall victim to disease and illness due to their unsanitary environments. Thus, Stephany prototyped a sanitization box that instantly cleans an individuals belongs such as their shoes and clothes.

Nelzy’s idea came at the frontier of dangerous warzones for countries worldwide. She realized that having a safe commute from one destination to another is a privilege which she wanted to share. Thus, Nelzy prototyped a robot that created the safest route for people to reach their destination from Point A to Point B

Manmeet came to htmelle to learn how to reinvent the way kids learned in the classroom by making it more accessible. Throughout the program, she learned that in order to improve this classroom experience, students and teacher needed more support overall. Thus, Manmeet prototyped a mobile app that provided ways for members in the school’s local communities to easily donate books and other learning materials to the students.
